This course is an introduction to the person and work of the Holy Spirit in the Christian life and ministry. As a Gathering Course, it will not only include academic elements but will strongly emphasize the importance and role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. This class will study Scripture looking at its teaching on the Spirit and will look at church history to explore how these teachings have manifested in diverse ways. With this, we will explore controversies, problematic approaches, and how to best avoid them and experience all God has for us. We will look at such details as the Holy Spirit in worship, pastoral care, the family and marriage, and numerous other areas. The syllabus can be found here.
