Rev. Dr. Wes Barry is the founding pastor of Waypoint Community Church in Charlotte, NC, a church plant within the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO). With experience in both historic mainline congregations and new church starts, he brings a practical blend of tradition and innovation to his teaching and coaching.

Wes embraces challenges—from planting a church in a new denomination and running ultramarathons with F3, to raising triplet boys—as spiritual disciplines that forge resilience and deepen discipleship. His writing explores how crucible experiences can invite believers to “come and see” God’s goodness in order to “go and be” His faithful witnesses to the watching world.

He holds a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Wes lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Lindsay, their daughter Ellie, and triplet teenage sons—where life is full, fast, and faithfully focused on making disciples who make disciples.
