Tom Parker

Rev. Tom Parker served as the Director of Fuller Theological Seminary in Arizona for 30 years (1988-2018) where he worked to strengthen its mission of Preparing people, passionate for Christ, to do effective frontline ministry in a broken world. Under his leadership the program grew in students, facility, degree programs, and funds for scholarships. He also served as an affiliate assistant professor teaching Old Testament, Biblical Interpretation, Hebrew, and Greek. He is a graduate of the University of Sheffield, England (M.Phil.), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and the University of Arizona (B.A.). For 12 years Tom also served as co-planter and co-pastor of The Spring Church in Tempe, AZ (ECO) with his wife Gayle. They have been married for over 42 years and have three sons, three daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren – Luke, Jes, Matthew, & Sam; Ben, Sharon, Annie & Emmie; and Zach, Christine, Teddy, & Nina. He loves running, reading, engaging in scripture, studying, horseback riding, hanging out with his family, and picking wine to go with his wife’s amazing cooking. Tom serves as a coach, consultant, and pastor who works with pastors, church planters, church boards/staffs and ministry leaders to help them function better emotionally, spiritually, and missionally for the sake of the gospel.
