Rev. Dr. Melvin L. Sensenig founded TIRoutreach.org where he serves as Theologian in Residence in Reading, Pennsylvania training and mentoring urban pastors in biblical preaching and theology. He holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Temple University and an M.Div. from Yale Divinity School, and has taught courses in Old Testament, New Testament, Eastern religions, Western religions, Dead Sea Scrolls, theology, and ministry formation at Temple University, Saint Joseph’s University, Eastern University, Rowan University and Albright College. With an extensive background in both urban church planting/pastoral ministry and academic scholarship, Dr. Sensenig’s work bridges rigorous biblical study with the lived realities of the church. His current teaching explores how critical interpretation and Christ-centered confessional faith together shape faithful leadership in contemporary ministry.
