Rev. Dr. Cheryl L. Eaton teaches Old Testament Survey for ECO’s Flourish Institute of Theology and holds a PhD in Old Testament from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland and Trinity College Bristol, England. A former journalist, she is now pastor/head of staff for First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Herrin, IL, and serves on ECO’s Standing Theology Committee and as Moderator for Presbytery of the Harvest.

Cheryl also serves as Jordan Studies Program assistant for John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR, where she is an adjunct professor teaching Art & Archaeology and Christian Spiritual Formation. In addition, she supervises the excavation of a Byzantine-era market plaza at Decapolis Abila in northern Jordan for the Abila Archaeology Project. It is her passion to help equip men and women to participate in the advance of Christ’s kingdom.

Some of her works include Byzantine Church in Procession: Stational Liturgy Evidenced at Abila of the Decapolis.
