What is the make-up of the church and the surrounding community?
First Presbyterian currently has 143 covenant partners with an average of 110 in worship each Sunday. The church has grown steadily over the past 5 years, with lots of families and children.
Corpus Christi is on the lower Gulf Coast of Texas. The economy is primarily industrial, oil & gas, the Port of Corpus Christi ( major deep-water port), as well as a university and community college.
The church is near downtown and overlooks Corpus Christi Bay.

Primary Mentor's ministry experience, passions, and interests
Pastor Chip has served FPC Corpus Christi as the Pastor/Head of Staff for nearly 14 years. He earned his MDiv from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 2009 and a DMin from Gordon-Conwell in 2021. His primary interests are in making disciples who make disciples, and in helping young adults find their place in the church.
