Mentoring Church Context

What is the mission/vision of the church? How can an intern help the congregation to achieve these?
Last year Triangle Grace went through a long-term planning process called Vision 2030. We identified four key trajectories for our church which we are committed to bring to fruition. They include:

A Culture of Invitation
A Culture of Discipleship
A Culture of Intentional Community
A Culture of Missional Impact

Potential initiatives were identified for each area which leaders within the church are beginning to implement. Our interns will come alongside of our church leadership to help bring to fruition Vision 2030. It is an exciting time in the life of our church!
What is the make-up of the church and the surrounding community?
Our church has about 350 actively involved with our community of faith. We see at least 200 in our worship service each Sunday and it is growing. It is an intergenerational church with people attending from all age, racial, and socio-economic demographics.
What are your top 2 strengths and growth areas as a church?
We are a Christ-Centered church who holds to a high view of scripture and extend charity towards those who may disagree with us on secondary issues. Triangle Grace is a deeply caring community who truly loves Jesus. The church is located in an area which has the potential to make a major impact for Christ on the emerging generation. Our hope is to have increased influence on university students and young professionals in the coming years.
