Director of Family Ministries

The goal of this position is to lead families and their children (birth-12h grade) to deeper levels of relationship with Christ and understanding of Christianity. This includes but is not limited to equipping families, recruiting and training volunteers, and providing a stable and welcoming environment to children from within the church as well as those outside. The Director of Family ministry will advise CHPC leadership, equip covenant partners, and implement the necessary programming to ensure a flourishing multi-ethnic family ministry. This role is for someone who has some life experience in leading some kind of ministry or business.

The church can offer space in someone’s house or a local one bedroom apartment. Salary is between $40,000 and $55,000 depending on experience and housing needs.

CHPC seeks to honor God by growing a diverse community of Jesus followers. This intern can help the church meet that need by growing a diverse children’s ministry.
What is the make-up of the church and the surrounding community?
CHPC resides in a slowly gentrifying community that has gone through the basic up and down cycles of an urban neighborhood. We have a diverse community that has a broad economic mix and racial mix. We seek to reach the full breadth of the neighborhood.
What are your top 2 strengths and growth areas as a church?
We are a diverse congregation racial and economically. We have a vibrant congregation committed to sharing Jesus.
Our growth areas are that w are not diverse generationally and we must develop our ministry of discipleship within the congregation.
