Introduction to Theology I

This class introduces students to the theology of the church by looking at major doctrinal themes and the historical settings and events which influenced them. This first class will begin by looking at the nature of theology, how we know God, and what makes knowledge of God legitimate. We will move from this to study the doctrines of Scripture, God and the Trinity, creation and providence, and finally, the Fall. With each of these we will look at major thinkers, insights, controversies, and events that shaped these central doctrines of the Christian faith.
