This class is an introduction to the content and interpretation of the Old Testament. Students will explore the historical setting and major issues shaping the Old Testament, along with the context in which they have been written. The class will look at the different genres—from history to law, poetry to prophets—exploring how these different writings may be understood and interpreted for faith and ministry today.
