Internships and Practicums
Our Mentored Ministry classes take two basic shapes: Internships and Practicums. Internships look broadly at the life and ministry of the church and will have students participating and learning several areas of ministry. Practicums, on the other hand, are more focused, looking at specific areas—such as student ministry, adult-ed, worship, pastoral care, etc.— as a specialized option for learning and minis-try skills. Internships and Practicums requires a minimum of 10 hours a week of ministry/ministry preparation (140 hours total) with a trained and validated FIT Mentor. These hours include preparation for and participation in Mentored Ministry Labs which run concurrent with Internships and Practicums.
