Biblical Interpretation and Exegesis

This class builds upon the skills and insights gained in our Foundations courses, “Introduction to Old Testament Exegesis and Interpretation” and “Introduction to New Testament Exegesis and Interpretation”. The class will provide a deeper look at biblical texts (both Old and New Testament), their exegesis, and how they are to be best and most faithfully interpreted. The class will look at interpretive tools available and ways to move from the biblical text to preparing a sermon or Bible study. At least one of the Foundations – Bible & Exegesis classes must be taken before this class. The syllabus can be found here.
